Fun Camping Games For Everyone!

  1. Minute To Win It

Minute to Win It was one of those tv shows you always loved to watch but also always wanted to be apart of, these games here are simple games you can set up in no time and have a fun afternoon of exciting competitions with your friends or family.

Rapid Fire

Supplies needed: rubber bands, 6 empty pop cans (12 if playing head to head)

Set the cans up in a pyramid on a flat surface such as a folding table or picnic table. Give each player elastics. The object of this game is to knock over all 6 cans using elastics in under a minute. If playing head to head, set up at different areas and first to knock all 6 over wins.

Smore's Fun

Supplies needed: chopsticks, graham wafers, chocolate, marshmallows

Give each player a set of chopsticks, 2 graham crackers, a marshmallow, and 1 or 2 pieces of chocolate. The object of this game is to assemble a s’more using only the chopsticks in less than a minute. In the head to head version of this game, players race to be the first one to assemble their s’more using the chopsticks.

Face The Cookie

Supplies needed: Any kind of cookies

Place a cookie on someone’s forehead. They have to use only their face muscles (no hands) to get it into their mouth in under a minute. When going head to head the first one to finish wins.

Junk In The Trunk

Supplies needed: Ping pong balls, empty tissue boxes, ribbon

To assemble tie a ribbon through an empty tissue box and then wrap it around the players waist with the tissue box facing out on the players back, then add several ping pong balls in to the tissue box. Tell players they have to get as many balls out as possible using only movement. They can dance, shake, get on all fours — whatever it takes as long as they don’t use their hands. The player with the fewest ping pong balls in their tissue box at the end of the minute wins.

2. Camping Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger hunts are easy to set up and its a fun game anyone can enjoy, and to get the kids involved in a group activity! Split up players into teams and give them a list. Use one of these templates the next time you are camping to set up a fun game!

3. Cornhole

Although you do require a cornhole this a great game for all ages! The game consists of two teams and each person has a set of bean bags.

First decide which team throws first, then arrange your cornholes a good amount of feet apart from one another (roughly 27 feet). All throws are made from behind the front of the board. Bean bags that make it through the hole are worth 3 points, bean bags that touch the board or remains on it are worth 1 point. Play until the first team reaches 21 points.

4. Giant Jenga

This one is personally our favourite, it can be recreated with 2x4's or 2x6's and if you wanted to add a twist for the adults you could draw different drinking tasks you have to complete when you pull a piece out!, or you can also purchase from Amazon

5. Family Olympics

Last but not least, this is a great group competitive game that gets everyone involved! Put all players into multiple groups, and each game is awarded points(you decided), at the end the team with the most points wins(and if you wanted you could even have a prize for the winning team).

Fly Swatter Golf

Supplies needed: 1 fly swatter per team, Plastic golf balls 1 per team

Determine a designated length of course. Each team member swats plastic ball on ground until desired length of course then back to team. Next team member receives the swatter and completes the course. First team to complete all members wins.

Cheerio Art

For assemble, cut floral foam to fit shoe box lengthwise and approx. 2” wide. Cut pipe cleaners in half and stick into foam evenly spaced for every team member on team. Pour Cheerio’s into box. Place a full bucket of water in front of the first player in each line, and a empty bucket behind the last player in each line. To play the first player in line will fill their cup with the water from the bucket in front of them, then will put the cup over their head and try to pour their water into the cup of the person behind them, that will continue until the last player, which will then dump the water they gathered into the bucket behind them. The first team to fill their empty bucket wins.

Flip Cup

Supplies needed: Solo cups, a beverage of any kind(juice, water)

To assemble, for each team put them in a line and place a solo cup face up in front of them, add about a shot of the beverage in each cup. To play the player at the front of the line in each team will drink from their cup and then place their cup face up on the edge of the table and then attempt to flip it until it lands face down, once their cup is face down the next player will go and so on so forth. The first team to finish wins.

Piggyback Race

Supplies needed: none

Have all the teams line up behind the starting line. Pick one player that must carry all of their members across the finish line, one at a time they will carry a team member to cross the finish line, then return for the next team member, and repeat the process until all the team members are across the finish line.
